About Adjunct Associate Professor Christopher Cheok
Adjunct Associate Professor Christopher Cheok Cheng Soon, PBM, is Chief and Senior Consultant at the Department of Forensic Psychiatry and Director of National Mindline 1771 at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH), Singapore.
Formerly Chief of the National Addictions Management Service, he brings deep expertise in substance abuse treatment and policy to Singapore's digital mental health agenda. He holds adjunct appointments at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and serves on the Ministry of Health's Implementation Committee on Digital Mental Health.
A former President of the Singapore Psychiatric Association (2018–2021), A/P Cheok is Principal Investigator for an $804,120 National Health Innovation Centre grant on remote psychiatric care management, and previously led a SGD 3.5 million MINDEF-funded study on biomarkers for depression.
His published research includes notable work on cannabis use and substance abuse treatment outcomes in Singapore. He is a recipient of the Public Service Medal and the National Leadership Award for digital mental health implementation.
