ORAL PRESENTATION

Deliver a 20 – 30 minute presentation on your research findings, innovative clinical programme, or theoretical model. Engage directly with delegates through discussion and Q&A.

20 – 30 MINUTES

POSTER PRESENTATION

Display your research or clinical project visually. Be available for in-depth conversation with delegates, facilitating meaningful peer exchange and collaboration. Recommended Size is A0 (841 x 1189 mm or 84.1 x 118.9 cm or 33.1 x 46.8 inches).

Presenter Registration Deadline

Accepted presenters must complete their conference registration by this date. Unregistered presenters may have their abstracts withdrawn from the programme.

3 September 2026

Conference Day - APBAM 2026

Presentations take place. Posters and relevant materials will be uploaded to the APBAM 2026 official platforms - website and social media channels.

Registration Instructions for the Online Submission Form

Follow these steps to complete your abstract submission through the APBAM 2026 online portal. The process is straightforward and takes approximately 10–15 minutes.

Ensure you have the following ready before you begin: your abstract text (max 300 words), 3–5 keywords, co-author details (if applicable), and your institutional affiliation.

SUBMISSION PROCESS

Abstract submissions for APBAM 2026 open on 1 April 2026 and close on 30 June 2026. We strongly recommend submitting at least one week before the deadline to allow time for any technical issues. Early submissions are encouraged and receive the same consideration as those submitted closer to the deadline.

Visit the APBAM 2026 website and access the online submission portal. Complete the registration form with your personal details, select your conference track, enter your abstract title and text, confirm authorship, and acknowledge the submission terms. A confirmation email will be sent automatically to the email address you provide.

Yes, multiple submissions from a single author are welcome. Each abstract must be submitted separately through the online portal, with its own title, track selection, and authorship information. If all are accepted, each presenting author must be a registered conference participant.

Yes. A copy of your submission will be sent automatically to the email address you provide in the form. If you do not receive a confirmation within 24 hours, please check your junk or spam folder, and then contact the organising committee at [email protected] for assistance.

ABSTRACT REQUIREMENTS

Abstracts must not exceed 300 words. This limit applies to the abstract body only and does not include the title, keywords, or author information. Abstracts that exceed 300 words may be returned for revision before the review process can commence.

Abstracts should be structured to clearly communicate the following (where applicable to your work type):

  • Background: Context and rationale for your work
  • Objectives: What the research or programme aimed to achieve
  • Methods: How the research was conducted (for empirical studies)
  • Key Findings / Arguments: Core results or theoretical contributions
  • Conclusions / Implications: What the findings mean for practice or policy

You must also provide 3–5 keywords relevant to your submission.

Yes. All submissions and presentations at APBAM 2026 must be in English. This ensures accessibility across the diverse, multilingual Asia Pacific delegate community. Abstracts submitted in other languages will not be reviewed.

PRESENTATION FORMATS

Oral Presentations are 20–30 minute presentations delivered to the conference audience, covering research findings, innovative clinical programmes, or theoretical models. They typically include a Q&A period. 

Poster Presentations are visual displays of research or clinical projects; presenters are available at their poster for discussion with delegates. Both formats offer excellent visibility and networking opportunities.

Yes, you may indicate your preferred format (Oral or Poster) during submission. The Organising Committee reserves the right to recommend an alternative format based on the programme schedule and reviewer feedback. All decisions are made in the interest of creating the strongest possible scientific programme.

REVIEW & ACCEPTANCE

The reviewing committee aims to notify authors within one month of submission, with all notifications sent no later than 15 July 2026. Notifications will be sent to the email address of the presenting author, who is responsible for informing all co-authors of the outcome. If you have not received notification by 15 July 2026, please contact [email protected].

Abstracts are reviewed against the overall conference theme of “Emerging Trends in Addictions and Mental Health” and the specific track criteria. Reviewers assess relevance to the Asia Pacific context, quality of evidence or argumentation, clarity and structure, originality, and practical or policy implications. All submissions are reviewed by the APBAM 2026 Scientific Committee.

REGISTRATION & PARTICIPATION

Yes. All accepted presenters must register as conference participants by the Presenter Registration Deadline of 30 August 2026. Abstracts from presenters who have not registered by this date may be withdrawn from the official APBAM 2026 programme. Registration details will be provided at the time of acceptance notification.

Yes. By submitting your abstract and accepting the acknowledgement terms, you agree that your poster and relevant presentation materials may be uploaded and published on the APBAM 2026 official website and social media platforms following the conference. This extends the reach of your work beyond the conference day to the broader Asia Pacific professional community.

Yes. The person completing the submission form is identified as the presenting author, who does not have to be the lead/first author. You must indicate in the form whether you are the lead author. If not, provide the lead author’s details separately. The presenting author is responsible for notifying all co-authors of the abstract’s status and must be a registered conference participant if accepted.
