Sharmini Winslow is Singapore’s first Certified Psychodramatist with the ABE (American Board of Examiners in Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy) and a PAT (Practitioner Applicant as Trainer). She graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, and went on to earn a Masters in Counselling from Monash University, Australia. She trained in Psychodrama with various institutes in Australia and with the Hudson Valley Psychodrama Institute in New York. She has also trained with the Parnell Institute in AF-EMDR. Her unique experiences in the fields of the Performing Arts and psychodrama have led her to develop a dynamic and innovative form of therapy using movement, sociometry, psychodrama and AF-EMDR. She is familiar with the 12 step recovery process,and enjoys running groups for Personal Growth, Addictions clients, families of addiction clients, and clients with Trauma.
As a PAT, Sharmini provides training hours and workshops towards certification in Psychodrama with the ABE and the APCB. She is currently running a year long training Cohort with trainees from Singapore, Vietnam and Hong Kong.
